Keyana accused a no-show again

Still hospitalised...

THE suspect charged for the murder of six-year-old Keyana Cumberbatch was again a no-show at the Arima Magistrates’ Court as he remained hopitalised due to asthma.

The suspect has been in police custody for almost three weeks and was charged with murder since Tuesday evening, but the man accused of murdering the child is yet to make his debut.

According to investigators, the 28-year-old relative of the dead girl remained warded at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mt Hope again, up to last night.

It was the second asthma attack he has suffered since being arrested on November 26, the day after Keyana went missing from her Maloney home.

Days later the child’s body was found stuffed in a shipping barrel while the post-mortem examination which had been done concluded Cumberbatch died as a result of blunt force trauma. She had also been sexually assaulted.
