Man, 22, found shot dead in Petit Valley

A DIEGO MARTIN man became the country’s latest murder victim after he was shot to death in Petit Valley yesterday morning.
The death of Kevon Julien, 22, of Savannah Terrace, has now pushed the country’s murder toll for the year so far to 83, according to an Express tally.
Homicide officers said at around 5.45 a.m., residents of Second Street, off Ravine Road, Petit Valley, reported hearing several loud explosions in the area.
Residents found Julien lying along the roadway with bullet wounds about his body. When police arrived on the scene a short while later, Julien was already dead.
Several spent bullet shells were recovered in close proximity to Julien’s body, said detectives. They said the murder has been classified as gang-related.
Homicide detectives are continuing investigations. —Rickie Ramdass
