Man killed with brick to head

 A 65-year-old Curepe coconut vendor is the last person to be murdered for 2013.

Jagdeo Basdeo was killed on Monday night during an altercation with another man. The incident occurred near a bar located along the Southern Main Road, Curepe.

Police said around 6 p.m. on  Monday,  Basdeo was at the Chosen Bar at the corner of McEnroy Street and Southern Main Road, Curepe, when he and a man got into an argument during which the man picked up a brick and struck Basdeo in the head.

He became unconscious and was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated, but around 2 a.m. yesterday he died.
