A 23-YEAR-OLD Champs Fleurs man was stabbed to death on Sunday night following an altercation with another man.
The victim was identified as Keron Reid, of Quarry Drive.
Investigators said, at around 9 p.m., Reid was standing along the roadway not far from his home in the company of some other men when he got into an argument with another man.
The man, police said, broke a glass bottle and stabbed Reid several times to the head, face and neck before fleeing the scene.
Reid, police said, was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mt Hope where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A team of officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) visited the scene and carried out enquiries.
The suspect was later detained and was assisting police with their investigations up to late yesterday evening.
