THE victim of a hit-and-run accident on Monday in Brazil village, East Trinidad, died on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
The relatives of the victim, James Hernandez, 59, spoke to the Express yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, where they had gone to witness the post-mortem examination.
They said that the driver of the car that killed their relative remained on the run and they wanted justice.
They added that the accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Monday near the victim's home at Soriah Trace, Brazil, while he was walking across the road but the driver never stopped.
Chaguanas CID officers are continuing investigations.
The road death toll stood at 154 up to press time last night.
