Manning in US for treatment

Former Prime Minister Patrick Manning is in Washington receiving medical attention.
Last Friday, House Speaker Wade Mark announced he had granted leave of absence to the San Fernando East MP who was out of the country. He said the leave was granted to June 30.
It is understood that Manning, who suffered a stroke in 2012 and who has difficulty walking and speaking since then, would be receiving therapy in the US.
Manning had spent a considerable time at the Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington in 2012 where he had received physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy.
