EXTENDED LEAVE: Patrick Manning

Manning asks for and gets 45 more days

Former prime minister Patrick Manning has asked for more leave from Parliament.

House Speaker Wade Mark yesterday announced that Manning had sought more leave and was granted approval for 45 more days, starting from January 23. This would mean that Manning would be on leave until March 8, 2013.

Manning, who represents the San Fernando East constituency, suffered a stroke last February and has not been back to Parliament since then.
