A TEENAGE girl who ran away from her Cunupia home since December 21 was found in a Valencia house yesterday morning with a 17-year-old boy.
Days ago, the girl’s father, Wazib Mohammed, asked for assistance to find his daughter.
In the earlier reports, Mohammed said he believed his daughter, Reanna Rona Mohammed, 14, had run away from home.
The family lives at Petersville Road, Chin Chin, Cunupia.
The father said the incident was puzzling since she never ran away from home previously, nor did they have any arguments. He said calls to her cellphone were unanswered and went to voice-mail.
Mohammed said he had searched for her at the homes of family and friends and no one had seen or heard from her. Yesterday morning, however, Valencia police received information as to where she might be.
A team of officers led by Sgt Mahase, Cpl Bhim and PCs Sookdeo, Maurice and Jackson went to a house off the Valencia Old Road where they found Mohammed and her male friend.
She appeared unharmed but she was taken to the Sangre Grande District Hospital where she was medically examined.
Police said her father later picked her up at the Sangre Grande Hospital.
