Moonilal: Jack desperate

By Anna Ramdass

Government Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal yesterday defended the award of a billion-dollar contract to Super Industrial Services (SIS) and dismissed as “desperation” the call for a protest march by Jack Warner.

Former government minister Warner, leader of the Independent Liberal Party (ILP), released a statement yesterday calling on the country to march against the Government and SIS. Questioned on Warner’s call for a protest march, Moonilal said: “I think it is very premature, but I understand that Mr Warner is very desperate. He has been hounded down wherever he goes by placard- bearing constituents, maybe he’s trying to muster what little support he still has. I know anywhere he goes he has been greeted with placards, he has to hide behind a bed sheet under a house, I wouldn’t take his call seriously, it is just reckless, he is the mouthpiece of Keith Rowley.”
