New Yorker dies in crash

A 31-YEAR-OLD United States national on vacation in Trinidad was killed in a car crash yesterday.

Bevan Richards, of Flatlands Avenue, New York, died at the scene.

Police said at around 2.30 a.m., Richards was at the wheel of a Nissan Almera car when it struck a guard rail on the southbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway, near the Caroni River.

Richards was the lone occupant in the car.
