At least 1,000 members of the public are expected to participate by riding with the competitors during this Tribute Ride today.
The race starts from the Arima Velodrome at 7 a.m., down the old road, to the highway and ends at the Financial Complex on Independence Square, Port of Spain, where the participants will rest for 20 minutes and continue back up the highway to end at the Arima Velodrome.
This allows citizens to participate by riding along and cheering at the roadsides. The official race starts from August 23 and ends on September 2.
