Just over $3 million has been approved by the executive council of the Tobago House of Assembly for repair works to the Calder Hall Administrative Building, and in particular the central air-conditioning unit.
THA Chief Secretary Orville London said the matter is being treated as a matter of urgency.
“When I saw the report, I immediately gave instructions for an executive council note to be done, which I took to the executive council today, and in effect asking for a total of just over $3 million additional funding to supplement the work that we have,” he said.
This follows PSA president Watson Duke revealing on Tuesday reports of health concerns emanating from London’s office reported to him.
Duke called then on London to fix them.
London, in addition, noted repair works were conducted in the past but the necessary funds to enact further repairs were not accessible to these officials.
