PM gets pan, tassa welcome in Florida

 PHOTOGRAPHS posted on Facebook show the arrival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on Monday night.

The Prime Minister left Trinidad and Tobago on Monday and a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister indicated she would be in the United States for four days on personal business to attend the funeral of a relative.

The deceased relative was not named in the release, but he is said to be Joy “Uncle Joy” Sawh, the owner of Joy’s Roti Delight, a business located in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the photograph posted on the Facebook page of Singh’s Roti Delight, Sawh’s funeral took place yesterday.

 The Prime Minister is expected to return to Trinidad tomorrow.
