Passport, $$ stolen at Sando hospital

AN employee of the San Fernando General Hospital has reported to police that her passport, cash and shoes were stolen from the hospital’s compound this week.

A police report said a 64 year-old wardmaid reported she left her passport, $3,000 and a pair of shoes valued $200 in her locker on Sunday.

On Wednesday, she made a check in her locker and the items were missing.

She reported the incident to the San Fernando Police Station and PC Khan is continuing investigations.

In an unrelated incident, a 48-year-old Princes Town man is expec-

ted to appear before a San Fernando Magistrate for malicious damage.

The victim, Eric Roberts, of Royal Road, San Fernando, told police that on April 1, he was at home when he was awakened by a loud noise.

Roberts told police he looked outside and observed the suspect, of St Croix Road, Lengua, pouring a corrosive substance on the bonnet and bumper of his Nissan Tiida car.

The victim raised an alarm and the suspect ran away.

The damage was estimated at $1,300.

The suspect was arrested and charged by WPC Matthews of the Mon Repos Police Station.
