Paula to Jack: Clear air on minister's son rumour

By Julien Neaves

OPPOSITION MP Paula Gopee-Scoon has said she expected Minister of National Security Jack Warner to assure the population that no Cabinet minister was implicated in a report about the son of a minister being under indictment in the United States.

She brought up the issue during her contribution to debate last Friday on the Defence (Amendment) Bill 2013 at Tower D, International Waterfront Centre, Port of Spain.

Gopee-Scoon said her constituents in Point Fortin had expressed concern about a newspaper report that the son of a Government minister was under sealed indictment in the United States.

She stressed this was a "very serious matter" and a "very serious story".
