SLAIN Rio Claro gardener Abass Mohammed had many enemies who may have wanted him dead, police have said.
Mohammed, 60, who was found dead on Thursday near his home from multiple chop wounds, had several matters pending before the Rio Claro Magistrates’ Court which he had brought against his neighbours, a source told the Express.
The Express was told Mohammed had moved to Rio Claro from Freeport some five years ago.
He initially settled in Dades Trace, where he had altercations with persons in the area, and his house was destroyed in a fire.
A police investigator said Mohammed moved to Pinder Trace, where he tended a garden and reared cattle.
However, he again had several conflicts which resulted in him filing private court action against residents in the area.
There have been no arrests in the case.
