Police arrest pupil at school

By Susan Mohammed

POLICE were called to quell a disturbance at Chaguanas North Secondary School yesterday and arrested a 17-year-old pupil for disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest.

The suspect, a Form Five pupil, of Enterprise, Chaguanas, was detained after he allegedly fought with police officers.

According to police, at around 1.30 p.m., police officers responded to a report by officials at the school.

Police said on arrival the suspect began to call the police names such as “stupid”.

When officers confronted the teenager, he became annoyed, the report said.

They attempted to subdue him, but he fought with the policemen.

He was eventually arrested and taken to Chaguanas Police Station, where he was charged by PC Aabootee.
