...‘Police investigator to look at LifeSport audit report’

A police investigator is expected to be appointed to look at the findings of the Central Audit Committee of the Ministry of Finance on the LifeSport programme.
This was revealed yesterday by Police Service public information officer Insp Wayne Mystar in Port of Spain.
“I am aware that the acting Commissioner of Police (Stephen Williams) has received the report, and it is my information that he has handed over the report to the acting Deputy Commissioner of Police with responsibility to crime activities. That is Mr Glen Hackett.
“And he (Hackett) is in the process of appointing an investigator to invest that matter further.
“No time frame has been given as to when to (complete) the report, but rest assured that investigations will be done with transparency and expediency,” Mystar said.
