Post Cabinet briefing cancelled - Ministers to visit Duncan Street murder scene
...cops arrest five suspects
GOVERNMENT has cancelled today's post-Cabinet media briefing,
and instead, several Ministers will visit Duncan Street, Port of Spain,
the scene of Wednesday's killing of 16 year old Rasheeda Gomez, who
was among five murdered in the city that day.
Housing Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal, National Security Minister Emmanuel George, will accompany acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams to Duncan Street at 3.30p.m.
Meanwhile, five men have been taken into custody by police in search of
suspects involved in the killings. Police also raided a house at Beetham Gardens, but a sixth suspect escaped.
