President Carmona off to Argentina

President Anthony Carmona left yesterday morning for a week-long official visit to the Argentinian Republic.
Senate President Timothy Hamel-Smith will act as President in Carmona’s absence
While in Argentina, President Carmona will pay a courtesy call on Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, President of Argentina.
He is also expected to visit Mario Aurelo Poli, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, who was appointed by Pope Francis as his replacement.
President Kirchner will be the second high-ranking Argentinian that Carmona will meet since taking office in 2013. The first was Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Carmona will also meet with Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors, who will be playing a friendly international against Argentina on Wednesday in Buenos Aires.
The President returns to Trinidad and Tobago on June 7.
