President George Maxwell Richards has made several board appointments following consultations with the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.
A release from Government Information Services Limited (GISL) stated that Richards on January 4 appointed Stephanie Daly SC and Amelia Carrington as members of the Public Service Appeal Board, for periods of three years with effect from January 18, 2013.
The release stated that the President made the appointments following consultations with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissesar and Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley.
GISL also stated that the President on January 2, following consultations with the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader, appointed Dr Noel Kalicharan as a member of the Elections and Boundaries Commission, for a period of five years, with effect from January 25.
In another release, GISL stated that Richards on January 4 appointed Justice Clebert Rudolph Brooks SC as chairman of the Public Service Appeal Board, for a period of three years, with effect from January 18.
GISL stated that the President made this appointment following consultation with Chief Justice Ivor Archie.
