Pupil stabbed, backpack stolen

A 16-YEAR-OLD San Fernando schoolboy was stabbed and robbed of his school books and bag by thieves near his school on Thursday.

The teenager, a Form Five pupil of ASJA Boys College, was stabbed in his back and treated at hospital.The incident occurred around 3.25 p.m. when the boy was walking along Seukeran Street, San Fernando.

He told police he was approached by two men, one of whom pulled out a knife and stabbed him. The robbers then grabbed his school bag with his books and ran off.

In another incident, a laptop was stolen from a pupil's locker at Naparima College, San Fernando.

A police report said around 12.20 p.m. a 12-year-old pupil, of Rio Claro, said he secured his HP laptop computer valued at $4,000 in the locker. Ten minutes later he made a check and discovered it missing.
