Ray’s family wants second autopsy

THE family of Ray Kublalsingh have many unanswered questions as to what

actually caused his death and have made arrangements for an additional autopsy to take place.

The search for Kublalsingh ended on Friday, with the discovery of his body near his Claxton Bay home.

Kublalsingh, 81, the father of environmental activist Dr Wayne Kublalsingh, went missing on Tuesday morning. His body was found by a search party of neighbours, friends and relatives.

At that time, Dr Wayne Kublalsingh, the leader of the Highway Re-Route Movement (HRM), was at

the Hall of Justice, Port of Spain, as litigation continued into the HRM’s fight against the State over the construction of the Point Fortin highway extension.

The younger Kublalsingh said yesterday: “There are many doubts as to what has

happened. We think it might

be best to have a second autopsy conducted. The first

one will take place (tomorrow) and we have arranged for an independent autopsy to take place on Tuesday.”

He said: “We are hoping that he died from natural causes and that he didn’t meet up with any violence.”

Dr Wayne Kublalsingh said his father’s funeral was

being planned for Wednes-

day, with a funeral service at the Susamachar Presbyterian Church, San Fernando, followed by the interment at Belgroves Funeral Home, also in San Fernando.
