Roget: Worst level of governance in history
President General of the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union (OWTU) Ancel Roget said yesterday he was not surprised by a video showing a man looking like a Cabinet member smoking ganja.
Speaking to the media yesterday, Roget said: “I think the OWTU and the rest of the country know that that is just another manifestation of the poor level of governance and the poor level of choice and judgment on the part of the Prime Minister to have chosen such a person—the English boy—to be one of her ministers”.
He said “the English boy” should not have been in the Cabinet in the first place.
“When you look at that (issue), it is not just him, it is the Government itself crumbling around the Prime Minister, and it seems that it is the Prime Minister alone that does not know that her Government has collapsed,” Roget said.
He said all these things, including the Petrotrin oil spill itself, are manifestations of perhaps the worst level of governance the country has ever experienced in its history.
“So it is not surprising the revelation we saw about that English boy,” he added.
