Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley has said Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar now has to show whether she is consistent in the way she acts towards her ministers.
Commenting on Sunday’s incident between Minister of the People Glenn Ramadharsingh and a Caribbean Airlines flight attendant, Rowley said yesterday: “A precedent has been set. Collin Partap was alleged to have committed an offence, he said he was not guilty and before any investigation was concluded Partap was fired by the Prime Minister.
“Now Mr Ramadharsingh is facing a quite serious allegation and he says he is not guilty.
“Now the Prime Minister has to show whether she is consistent in her treatment with her people (ministers) and the people of the country.
“We saw (former minister) Mary King being fired for alleged misconduct while (former minister) Jack Warner was defended. So once again the Prime Minister is called upon to show whether she can act in a consistent and fair manner. We look on to see.”
