SEA pupil reports rape: 2 arrested
A girl who was successful in the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) has reported to relatives she was raped by two men including a 66-year-old family member.
The 12-year-old last week collected her results which showed she passed for her school of first choice.
Relatives gathered to celebrate but the child was seen constantly crying. When questioned, she confessed she was sexually assaulted at different times from last November to February this year.
A medical examination confirmed she was interfered with.
The child's relative and a 25-year-old security guard were arrested and are expected to appear before the Chaguanas Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The men were held following investigations by Supt Johnny Abraham, Insp Wayne Lawrence, Sgt Ransome and WPC Joseph.
