A PUPIL of Cunupia High School was taken to court yesterday, charged with beating a teacher at his school.
The teenager appeared before Chaguanas Magistrate Bramanand Dubay, where he pleaded guilty to the charge of assault by beating.
He was remanded into custody at the Youth Training Centre until October 31 pending a probation officer’s report.
Three others appeared alongside him, also charged with obscene language.
All pleaded guilty to the charges.
They were released on bail into their parents’ care while a probation officer’s report would also be done on them. They were ordered to return to court on October 6.
A fifth teenager, charged with malicious damage to school property and obscene language, appeared before Chaguanas Magistrate Gillian Scotland.
He was released on bail into his parents’ care to return to court on October 6.
The incident allegedly took place at the school compound on Tuesday.
