Search for 3 in robbery during traffic

The police are currently searching for three men who held up a delivery truck on Thursday afternoon and stole nine television sets valued at an estimated $40,000.

At about 2 p.m., the driver was in traffic along Observatory Street, Port of Spain, when he was approached by three men. One of the men pulled out a firearm and ordered the driver to pull aside.

The assailant then kept the gun pointed towards the driver as his accomplices removed the televisions from the vehicle. After they had secured the televisions, they ordered the driver to continue along the roadway.

The driver, fearful for his life, complied but he made his way directly to the Besson Street Police Station where he made a report.

A description of the suspects was given and the police are looking for the thieves.

Anyone with information which may lead to the arrests of the robbers are asked to contact the Besson Street Police Station.
