Several arrests, revolver found

New Year’s Day police exercise...

POLICE exercises in the Southern Division over New Year’s Day led to several arrests, including for possession of a revolver.

Around noon on Wednesday officers from the Mon Repos Criminal Investigation Department (CID) executed a search warrant at a house at Henry Street, San Fernando.

A revolver was found and led to a 28-year-old man being arrested by officers.

Breathalyser exercises over a four-hour period on New Year’s Day led to the arrest of six people and tickets were also issued to 13 errant drivers.

An anti-crime exercise between 10 a.m. on the last day of the year to 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day resulted in ten people being arrested on warrants and 14 others having warrants executed on them.
