Sando TML records most pupils in top 100

By Carolyn Kissoon

San Fernando TML Primary School recorded the highest percentage of pupils in the top 100 in the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA).

The results were released to primary schools on Wednesday.

The school secured 14 positions in the top 100 pupils.

Pupils Afiyah Kalloo and Nirvana Maharaj claimed the fifth and sixth places respectively.

Acting principal Shaheed Allaham said he was pleased with this year’s SEA results.

“We had 14 pupils in the first 100 and that is out of the 66 pupils who wrote the exam. It was the highest percentage in schools—26 per cent—in the first 100. It was a very significant performance,” he said.

The Standard Five teachers were Allaham and Imshaz Hosein. “This success makes us the best all-round school in Trinidad

and Tobago, with the ratio of students submitted and the results given. This is a result of hard work and commitment by teachers and driven by an inspiring principal,” he said.

The school claimed ten places in the top 100 SEA pupils last year.
