South water supply interruption today
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said yesterday there would be an interruption in the water supply to customers in south Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant. This will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The disruption in service is to facilitate maintenance work by T&TEC. While this is being done, WASA will also replace the suction and discharge valves off the highlift pump at the Malgretoute Booster Station.
The affected areas include: Tabaquite, Rio Claro, Williamsville, Buen Intento, Manahambre, Cedar Village, Princes Town, Debe, parts of St Julien and New Grant, Barrackpore, Bronte/Borde Narve, Moruga, Marabella, Gasparillo, Penal Rock Road, Golcondo.
A limited truck borne water service will be provided and customers should contact WASA’s Customer Service Bureau toll free at 800-4420/4426.
