South police kill robbery
suspect in 'shoot-out'

An alleged shoot-out between police and three robbery suspects ended in the death of one of the suspects in Williamsville, near Princes Town, yesterday.
At around 3 p.m., police were alerted to a robbery in progress in Garth Road, Princes Town, and responded. They found three robbery suspects on the premises.
There was an alleged exchange of gunfire on the street.
The three suspects were wounded and taken for medical treatment.
One was pronounced dead upon arrival. His identity was unknown up to late yesterday.
On August 8, Kevon Jordan, 24, was killed by police after he and two other men attempted to escape the police in Mary Allen Street, Caroni.
Two weeks ago, police shot and killed Toco resident Akeel Moreno in Guapo Village, Point Fortin. Moreno was a robbery suspect who allegedly attacked police with a knife.
