TRINIDAD and Tobago’s Miss Universe candidate, Catherine Miller, will today compete in the final segment of the pageant in Moscow, Russia.

Miller, 21, wowed the audience and judges in the preliminary                                 rounds of the pageant this past                               week with her national costume, which was designed by Douglas                                                                          John of local mas band                                                               Tribe.

Miller was placed in the top ten of that category and the costume, an explosion of Carnival colour in reverence of the Humming Bird, which was highlighted on US cable channel, E! Entertainment, as one of the best seen this year.

Accolades for her performance so far and best wishes continued to pour in yesterday on Miller’s Facebook Fan Page, which also features photos and tributes to past local beauty queens, including Janelle ‘Penny’ Commissiong, who brought home T&T’s first Miss Universe crown in 1977.

Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe Pageant coordinator, Leah-Mari Guevera, stated earlier this week that Miller is having “a wonderful time” at the pageant and Tribe was “very happy” with her representation so far.

The Miss Universe final pageant will be held at Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
