POLICE are searching for a 16-year-old girl and her one-year-old child who have been missing since last week.
The teenaged mom's mother told police that the girl left their home at Southern Main Road, Chase Village, around 7 a.m. on Saturday.
The girl told her mother she was going to visit a friend at Orange Field Road, Carapichaima.
However, the young mother had not returned since and calls to her cell phone have gone unanswered.
Police were told that the teen mom had on previous occasions left her home and gone away for several days.
She was last seen wearing blue tights, black top, black sandals and a brown bag. She is of light brown complexion, has brown eyes, is of medium build, is five feet six inches tall, and wears a weaved hairstyle.
The toddler was last seen wearing a purple and white striped jersey, denim long pants, black sandals and a hat.
