TWO teenagers were held by police on Tuesday for the murder of Erin pensioner Stephen Lee.
An 18-year-old of Rousillac, south Trinidad, and a 19-year-old of Embacadere, San Fernando, were assisting homicide detectives yesterday.
Police believe that Lee, 83, was killed for his car, a silver-coloured Nissan Sunny.
It is believed Lee knew the suspects and they had asked him for a ride.
Lee's body was found on February 26, under a pile of discarded tyres.
His throat had been slit.
His body was discovered by police officers at an oilfield facility belonging to Petrotrin, in the vicinity of Three Sisters, Guapo.
The officers began searching for him after a missing person's report was filed at the Erin Police Station by his daughter Benecia Lee.
The father of nine and grandfather of 17 lived with his wife, two daughters and a grandson in Buenos Ayres, Erin.
He had been married to Ivy Lee, 81, for 57 years.
