Three get bail on guns, ammo, ganja charges

Four men, including a Guyanese national, appeared in the San Fernando Magistrates' Court Wednesday charged with the possession of guns, ammunition and marijuana.
John Sanjay Chinan was denied bail, pending an investigation into his immigration status.
Preetan Harripersad and Jason Fitzroy were granted bail in the sum of $250,000 and Samuel Joseph was granted $275,000 bail by
Magistrate Aden Stroude.
The men are charged with the possession of two loaded firearms following their arrest at a house in Pond Street, La Romaine, San Fernando on August 15.
Corporal Kerry Morales charged the men with having a 9mm handgun, 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a .38 pistol and one
live round of .38 ammunition, and 96 grammes of marijuana.
The men were represented by attorney Jason Jackson who made the bail application for the men. The matter was adjourned to today.
