Three shot in Laventille

Three men are at Port of Spain General Hospital after they were shot by an unknown gunman in Laventille on Tuesday afternoon. According to police reports, the three men were working on scaffolding at a building along St Paul Street, Laventille, when they were approached by an unknown assailant.
Without warning, the individual pulled a firearm and began shooting at the three men before fleeing on foot.

One man, identified as Kylon Murray, was shot in his right thigh; Phylrich Phillip, was shot in his right foot; and the third man, Donald Harewood, was shot in his stomach. The police and emergency health services were notified and a party of officers from Besson Street Police Station and the Inter Agency Task Force, in company with officials from the T&T Defence Force, responded.

The three wounded men were rushed to the hospital where they were treated.
Haywood, police said, was listed in a critical condition as a result of his injuries.
