Three men were robbed of cash and jewelry outside a Chinese restaurant in San Fernando last Friday.
Police said Penron Harper, a draftsman, Ray Janey, a consultant and Pelal Ramcharan, a draftsman, were standing outside Wing On Restaurant and Bar, Cipero Road, San Fernando, when two gunmen walked up to them around 5.15 p.m.
Harper, 42, of Bel View Road, Arima, was robbed of two gold chains valued $4,000, two cell phone worth $3,000 and a wallet containing $160.
Janey, 21, of De Gannes Village, Siparia, was robbed of $300 and Ramcharan, 58 of Ragoonanan Road, Enterprise, Chaguanas, was robbed of a gold chain valued $3,000 and a gold handband worth $1,000.
The gunmen escaped by running away.
Last week Thursday Tiger's Chinese Restaurant located at Southern Main Road, Cunupia, was robbed by armed men.
Chinese nationals Yang Jiang Hua and Wu Xia Hua, both 60, were shot and killed during the robbery. The business was opened by their son Yang Wu and they were assisting him, relatives said.
Police were up to last evening searching for the suspects in the couple's killing.
