The body of a man found in Mayaro at the weekend was identified as missing father of four Nizam Mohammed.
Mohammed's three sons identified their father's body at the Sangre Grande Hospital on Sunday.
Son, Saied Mohammed, said, "We heard about the body that was found in Mayaro and it fit the description of my father. We went to Sangre Grande and we identified him."
Mohammed's body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James, where an autopsy would be performed today.
The corpse was found in some bushes along the Guayaguayare Road on Saturday. Police said the body bore no marks of violence.
Mohammed, 58, was reported missing on August 13. He told relatives he was going to Princes Town to buy a weedicide.
Mohammed, who recently suffered two hearts attacks, lived at St Croix Road, Lengua, Barrackpore.
