Two killed in crashes

TWO MEN were killed in separate crashes on Monday night.
The victims were identified as Joseph Modeste, of Mayaro, and Rupert Thomas, of Marabella.
The first crash occured at around 7 p.m. when Modeste was riding a motorcycle along the Mayaro/ Rio Claro Old Road.
Police said that Modeste, 31, was headed east along the road when he crashed into a wall of the Mafeking Community Centre.
Police said a district medical officer pronounced Modeste dead at the scene.
Thomas was killed in a crash at the Cross Crossing Interchange, San Fernando.
Police were told that Thomas, a pump attendant and watchman, was driving a Nissan Sunny north along the interchange when he collided with a pillar on the right side of the bridge.
Police said Thomas was thrown from vehicle and landed on the roadway where he died.
DMO Dr Ragoobar pronounced him dead at the scene.
