On December 28, some of the Caribbean's most electric performers are set to take the stage with local stars to pay their respects to the nation's musical icons at an event titled Tribute to the Legends.
"Legends" will be held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, and will include performances by famed dancehall artistes Chaka Demus and Pliers, Guyana's chutney sensation Terry Gajraj, acclaimed Barbadian calypsonians Gabby and Red Plastic Bag, Antiguan calypso's elder statesman Swallow, St Vincent's "Rolls Royce of Soca" Winston Soso, St Lucia Calypso Monarch Invader, multifaceted Grenadian entertainer Ajamu and St Maarten's King Stunky.
They will join Calypso Rose, SuperBlue, David Rudder, Baron, All Rounder, Rikki Jai and many others as they perform the legendary music that has moved the Caribbean for over 50 years.
The concert will also include special tributes to the Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Sundar Popo and the Mighty Duke, among others.
International lovers of Caribbean music who wish to attend the show can win tickets through Caribbean Airlines. Those wishing to come to Trinidad for the concert can be booked at Cascadia Hotel, where they will enjoy special rates once they have proof of attendance.
The Tourism Development Company is also running a special promotion package through their tour operators.
Tickets are still available at $275 for general admission and $400 for VIP.
