BUSLOADS of president-elect Anthony Carmona's former neighbours from of Fyzabad will be heading to the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain for his inauguration today as the country's fifth President.
At least one person from each household in the area Carmona grew up is expected to be in attendance at the 5.p.m. event, an organiser said.
Six Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) buses have been chartered and organisers have had to disappoint others who, up to yesterday, were calling to enquire about seats on the bus.
But those who will be unable to make it to the stadium said they will be seated before their television set as Carmona takes the oath.
One resident who organised the invitations said he took names of 40 residents while another person had "many more" names.
On February 15, Carmona was elected by the Electoral College as the country's next President.
Outgoing President George Maxwell Richards's term of office came to an end yesterday.
