Bledman eases into sprint semis

Keston Bledman had an opening run of 10.13 seconds in Round 1 of the men's 100 metres at the Olympic Stadium in London.

Running out of lane five in Heat 7, Bledman crossed the finish in third position as Great Britain's Dwain Chambers (10.02) and Jimmy Vicaut of France (10.11) filled the top two places.

All three advanced to the semifinals by virtue of capturing the three automatic qualifying slots.
