ASJA Markaz crowned TML champs

ASJA Markaz were crowned the 2012 TML champions after their 27-run win over Masjid Da-Watil Haqq in the Open Division final at St Joseph on June 16.

Adrian Ali hit 40 and Travis Karim added 22 to lead ASJA Markaz to 94 for four off their 12 overs, while Masjid Da-Watil Haqq were dismissed for 69 in 11.4 overs.

In addition to receiving the championship trophy, ASJA Markaz also pocketed the first prize of $5,000 courtesy R. Khan Trading. Masjid Da-Watil Haqq walked away with $2,500.

St Joseph TML Youths were also successful on the night, defeating ASJA Markaz Youths by 19 runs to lift the Fun Division trophy.
