Abel to defend T20 title

 The Barrackpore Sports Association will host its second annual Twenty20 competition from March 30 with more than $25,000 in prizes to be won.

Defending champions Abel Construction Company will be coming back this year to defend their title with an increased purse of $15,000 at stake. Last year’s first prize was $10,000.

The runners-up this year will get $7,500 while the third-place team will walk away with $4,000.

The organisers are aiming to have 30 teams take part in the 2014 competition, and the deadline for registration is Friday. Registration costs $1,500 for 15 players.
