Ali, Charles restrict Jamaica

Four-wicket hauls by Jovan Ali and Bryan Charles helped Trinidad and Tobago’s cricketers to restrict Jamaica to 220 on the opening day of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional Under-19 tournament at the Mollineaux ground in St Kitts/Neivs yesterday.

After Jamaica had won the toss and chose to bat, Ali took four for 51 and Charles four for 50. In reply, openers Jeremy Solozano (24) and Brian Christmas saw their team to the close, T&T ending on 35 without loss, still 185 runs away from claiming first innings points.

Summarised scores:

Jamaica: 220 all out (Jovan Ali 4-51, Bryan Charles 4-50) vs T&T 35-0 (Solozano 24 not out, Brian Christmas 10 not out).
