Ames finishes with a 72

Trinidad and Tobago's Stephen Ames carded a one-over 72 in the final round of the US$5.5 million Tampa Bay Championship here yesterday.

Starting the day at the Copperhead Course of the Innisbrook Resort just five shots off the lead, Ames endured a bogey-filled round to finish even-par 284.

The Canada-based Ames, who has struggled all season, went two-under on Saturday to finish the day tied for 21st on the leaderboard at one-under 212.
