Arima hammer Fifth Company in Primary Schools football

The Atlantic National Primary Schools Football League round of 16 continued yesterday with five more teams securing their places in next week's quarterfinal round.

Arima Boys' RC defeated Fifth Company Baptist 8-0 at Arima Velodrome to earn a place in next week's boys' competition quarterfinals, while Mayaro Government's 2-1 win over Santa Flora Government at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella earned them a spot.

The final round of 16 match in the boys' competition will be played today, with Whim AC tackling La Brea Government at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, from 11 a.m.

In the girls' competition, yesterday, St Agnes AC, Vance River RC and St Mary's AC all secured quarterfinal berths with shutout wins.

St Agnes, the defending national girls' champions, overcame Mayo RC 2-0 at Hasely Crawford Stadium, while Vance River defeated La Horquetta South 4-0 at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, and St Mary's beat New Grant 1-0 at the Arima Velodrome.

The final round of 16 girls' game will be played today, between Longdenville Government and Tobago's Mason Hall, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, from 10 a.m.
