Barbados open Four-Day defence

 Defending West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Four-Day champions Barbados start their title defence today in the first day/night game of the season against the Windward Islands from three p.m. at Beausejour Cricket Ground in St Lucia.

Barbados defeated Trinidad and Tobago in last year’s four-day final and they also defeated the Windwards on their way to the final.

T&T are on a bye for the first round and will open their campaign against the Windwards next Friday at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.

Previous champions Jamaica are also in action today. They host Guyana at Sabina Park from 11 a.m. (TT time), while the Leeward Islands and the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) face each other in the other round one match, starting tomorrow at 10 a.m.

February 28 to March 3

Windward Islands vs Barbados, Beausejour Cricket Ground, St Lucia, 3 p.m.

Jamaica vs Guyana, Sabina Park, Jamaica, 11 a.m. (TT time)

March 1-4

Leeward Islands vs Combined Campuses and Colleges, Warner Park, St Kitts, 10 a.m.
