Carenage Girls seek quarter-final berth

Carenage Girls Government continued their unbeaten run and will have to beat Diamond Vale Government in tomorrow’s clash to earn a place in the quarter-final stage of the Port of Spain & Environs Sports Council Netball League.
The Carenage lasses continued their winning streak when they beat Point Cumana RC 10-3 at the Jean Pierre Complex last Friday. Goal shoot Latisha Jules was in good form with seven goals. For Point Cumna RC, Nakifah Williams scored two or their three goals.
Petit Valley continued their winning streak by beating Patna River Estate 14-3 to stay atop the standing in the West Zone competition. Melissa Boxhill continued where she left off the day before when they beat rivals Diamond Vale 27-14 in what might have been the best game seen this season.
The 2013 Port of Spain champions St Agnes AC extended their unbeaten run to five games when accounting for St Catherine’s AC. St Agnes, like Petit Valley Girls RC, have booked their place in the quarter-finals stage of the tournament.
